Able Tasman National Park
The Able Tasman is renowned for its golden sandy beaches, spectacular sculptured granite cliffs, and world-famous coastal tracks. Its mild climate makes it a great place to visit at any time of the year.
Waimea Estuary
Mapua wharf is the gateway to Waimea Estuary, a shallow estuary which is the largest in the south island. This is a dynamic habitat which is internationally significant for its birdlife, with many different plant species, insects and fish.
